Description
VOLUNTEER. SERVE. BE ENGAGED!
Are you looking for volunteer opportunities, but don’t know where to get started?
The Murray State University campus community is invited to visit with representatives from regional nonprofit organizations during the fall semester Nonprofit Connections event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the Curris Center Small Ballroom (3rd floor).
Nonprofit Connections is organized by the Nonprofit Leadership Studies program and serves to connect students, staff and faculty to nonprofit organizations serving our community and broader region. This fair-style event provides an excellent opportunity for nonprofit representatives to share first-hand information about existing community needs and issues that drive their missions and provide details regarding volunteer opportunities.
Organizations scheduled to attend include Angel's Attic, Merryman House, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Calloway County 4-H, Playhouse in the Park, Cassidy's Cause, Humane Society, Friends of LBL, and many more.

"We love participating in Murray State's Nonprofit Connections event! Building strong connections with other nonprofits is so important. When we work together and share resources, we’re able to better support the families we work with in bigger and better ways! The more we know about what’s available in the community, the more we can help connect people to what they truly need. "
This event provides an excellent opportunity for students to explore career paths, internships, and volunteer opportunities while allowing nonprofit organizations to engage with passionate and driven individuals eager to make a difference.
Thank you to our Town & Gown partners for providing meals and to the Murray State University Philanthropy and Leadership Collective for providing desserts.
