Speakers: Aaron Harned and Marilyn LeBourveau

Aaron Harned

Aaron Harned serves as the Center Director for the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Paducah, where he provides one on one consulting and strategic guidance to entrepreneurs and small business owners across Western Kentucky. His work focuses on business planning, financial projections, access to capital, and operational strategy for both startups and existing businesses.

Through his role with the Kentucky SBDC, Harned works closely with lenders, economic development organizations, and community partners to support sustainable business growth and regional economic development. He has assisted numerous businesses across multiple industries, helping them navigate financing, expansion decisions, and long term planning.

With a background in agriculture and small business ownership, Harned brings a practical, hands on approach to his work with clients. He is passionate about strengthening local economies by helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable, well managed businesses.

Marilyn LeBourveau

Marilyn LeBourveau is a Senior Project Manager for KY Innovation within the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. 

Marilyn’s work includes supporting the Commonwealth’s entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors – making sure they have all the information, resources, programs and connections they need to thrive in Kentucky.

Her favorite part of this work is interacting with businesses in all 120 counties across Kentucky.

Marilyn’s business career includes eleven years in commercial banking and sixteen years in horticulture. She was self-employed for ten years as the owner-operator of a WBE Certified landscape contracting business in Jefferson County. Drawing on her professional experience in banking, government contracting, and entrepreneurship, Marilyn joined the Cabinet for Economic Development in 2007.

Marilyn has a liberal arts degree from Douglass College at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She lives in Frankfort and enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially if the weekend agenda includes hiking in Kentucky’s state parks and national forests.
